The Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies is celebrating IYOR 2008
To celebrate the IYOR 2008 the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies is pleased to announce an online seminar series on the future of the world's coral reefs. Leading international researchers cover the latest science which supports the sustainable management of coral reefs. Major themes include:
- the latest science on coral bleaching
- the rising plague of coral disease
- managing coral reefs under climate change
- managing resilience in coral reefs
- the risks of ocean acidification
- protecting sea water quality from activities on land
- the efficacy of No-Take Areas - are new .green zones. helping to replenish fish stocks on the Great Barrier Reef?
- the plight of reef sharks and other top predators.
