DEMA, the Diving Equipment & Marketing Association, is an international organization dedicated to the promotion and growth of the recreational scuba diving and snorkeling industry. With more than 1,600 members, this non-profit, global organization promotes scuba diving through many initiatives including consumer awareness programs, media campaigns and sponsorship of DEMA Show, a trade event open only to companies doing business in the scuba diving, action water sports and adventure/dive travel industries.

During the International Year of the Reef, DEMA will communicate with its members on a consistent basis about IYOR, and how its members (several of which are focal point destinations) are contributing to the worldwide effort. There will be a link to the IYOR website on DEMA's www.beadiver.com website, as well as a page dedicated to the various worldwide initiatives being implemented by DEMA members. DEMA will also include IYOR objectives into their 2008 Ships2Reefs work. More information about DEMA’s IYOR initiatives will become available on www.beadiver.com soon.
