• April 27th: Beach Scavenger Hunt & Snorkel Clinic, 10am-12noon
  Join us on the beaches of SEA's Southgate Coast Reserve on Sunday, April 27th for a beach scavenger hunt and trash sculpture contest. A free snorkel clinic for beginner and intermediate/advanced snorkelers (with gear provided) will also take place. An on-going beach clean up will also be conducted. This family-friendly event is FREE and open to all of the public. Prizes will be awarded for all contests (View flyer (PDF File).

• May 9th: IYOR 3rd Free Movie Night
  The St. Croix Committee for International Year of the Reef will hold its third IYOR 2008 event on Friday, January 25th with a free public movie night featuring Blue Planet's Coral Seas at the University of the Virgin Islands Great Hall from 7:00-8:30pm. The family-friendly event will provide free popcorn and some snacks and refreshments will be available (View flyer (PDF File).

• May 25th: Reef Jam event
  A community reef benefit concert and series of activities will be held on Sunday, May 25th at Rainbow Beach in Frederiksted. Three local artists including Kurt Schindler will perform with guest speakers in between sets. Fishing-related educational games and demonstrations will be provided. A raffle and silent auction will help with fundraising efforts and an underwater photo contest is being organized. All proceeds will go to St. Croix coral reef conservation efforts in the form of education and outreach activities to support improved management and conservation efforts.
